Shri Abhey Kumar Oswal was a very pious soul with simplicity and dedication as his true nature. A Leader and a visionary, Shri Abhey Kumar Oswal ji was the Founder Chairman of Oswal Greentech Ltd. (Formerly known as Oswal Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd) and Oswal Agro Mills Ltd.

His bold decision-making, his ability to navigate challenges with courage, and fearlessness led to significant advancements & breakthroughs for the industry.

A caring husband and a loving father, Abhey ji inspired his multi-talented wife Aruna Oswal to lead in serving the community and handle the Family’s Social Factory.

The Phenomenal journey of Shri Abhey Oswal was a saga of achievements through changing times, needs and technologies as well as social welfare.

Shri Abhey Oswal was a keen learner, innovator and a born leader. His quest for innovations and integration of technologies, added with his appetite to take calculated risk, made him come out of traditional family textile business and venture into grassroots Agro Industry. He travelled widely and studied the intrinsic needs of modern Indian markets.

In 1983, Mr. Abhey Oswal expanded the business by forward integration through production of soaps, detergents, fatty acids, glycerine and stearic acid. The Group marketed its premium bath soaps in India through its brands OASIS, KALPA and 24 CARRATS. Edible grade cooking oils and margarine was made and marketed from Group’s unit located in Mandi deep, Bhopal within the state of Madhya Pradesh.

In 1984 Shri Abhey Oswal along with his brothers set up a charitable cancer hospital in the memory of their beloved mother – Mata Mohandai Oswal Cancer Hospital in the city of Ludhiana-Punjab, which with Abhey ji’s compassionate efforts is now a multispecialty hospital serving poor & needy.

In 1986, Mr. Abhey Oswal set up Asia’s largest paddy processing complex in Dhuri, Punjab.

In 1987, Mr. Abhey Oswal’s group acquired a large sugar complex and created a unique integrated agro based industry in Phagwara.

In 1989, Mr. Abhey Oswal diversified into Petrochemical Sector by acquiring plants from the multinational companies like Union Carbide Ltd in Mumbai and ICI Ltd, Kolkata.

In 1989 Abhey ji constructed a housing Complex at Ludhiana (Punjab) for the aged people and poor widows of the society.The Housing Complex provides free accommodation to around 750 families and has all the necessary amenities and facilities for education, health, safe drinking water, sanitation and recreation facilities.

In 1995, Mr. Abhey Oswal ventured into Chemical Fertilizer Sector and set up a grass-root Natural Gas based Urea plant having a capacity of One Million tons per year at Shahjahanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh

In October 1999, one of the worst and devastating cyclones hit the coastal area of Orissa including the city of paradip, where Abhey ji’s DAP plant was located. About 5000 people lost their lives and many more thousands lost their homes during this cyclone. Shri Abhey Oswal along with his wife Aruna Oswal led the team of volunteers and relief work from Paradip and provided free food, clothing, shelter for rehabilitation to the vast population affected by the cyclone.

Paradip incident shook him… He could not thank God enough for saving his life. it was his rebirth Abhey ji evolved as a strong Spiritual being as never before…. Not deterred by any adversity, Mr. Abhey Oswal in 2000 set up Asia’s largest grassroot and indigenous Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer plant, at Paradip in the east coast state of Orissa, India.

2006 onwards he was passionately involved in various innovative research projects, being ambitious by nature he simultaneously entered into Real Estate, his brain child CENTRA GREENS, a residential housing Project located in Ludhiana, Punjab, having an area of approximately 15 lakh square feet, is at advanced stages of completion.

Honoured with the highest award ”Ambassador of Goodwill” by Lions Club International Abhey ji’s journey as a Humanitarian continued through varied projects in professional as well as Social Responsibility arena for the cause of service to humanity.

Global Philanthropist, he set up a family Trust ” Aruna Abhey Oswal Trust” and gave his contribution to various NGO’s, Hospitals, Housing Centers, Schools, Flood Relief Camps and many other social causes and projects for the benefit of community. The Trust continues his dream project of providing Primary healthcare and patient education & awareness through its Mobile Medical Vans in rural areas, villages & tribal community who do not have any access to basic medical aid. There are four Eye care hospitals in the name of his beloved father Lala Vidyasagar Oswal in the four cities of India- Bangalore, Siliguri, Mumbai & Punjab.

Abhey ji often said ”Money is everything but Money is nothing until it is invested at the right time at the right place”.
